The Maia Baudelaire Foundation is proud to present its care clinic, established in April 2022 in Khokana, as part of its humanitarian efforts in Nepal.
This clinic, which aims to improve access to basic medical care for the residents of the region, offers free monthly check-ups to all village residents.
The place, which also serves as a pharmacy and dispensary, has daily hours covered by qualified doctors, allowing for quick patient care. Thanks to their expertise, the clinic’s doctors are able to make early diagnoses, prescribe appropriate treatments, and provide preventive care advice.
Patients with a prescription can also obtain basic medications for free, available at the clinic’s pharmacy. This initiative aims to ensure easy access to care for everyone, regardless of their income level.
Prevention campaigns are regularly organized, and with the help of partnerships established with valley hospitals, specific care programs (teeth, eyes, vaccination…) are occasionally carried out in the village.
The clinic also has a positive impact on the local economy by employing local staff, which helps strengthen the community and create job opportunities for the residents of Khokana and the surrounding areas.
The presence of the clinic improves the quality of life for the population by reducing healthcare costs and providing better management of chronic diseases.
Every month, check-ups are organized at the clinic
in the village of Khokana.

In short, the food distributions by the Maia Baudelaire Foundation are an important project to help the most vulnerable populations in the region. This aid is provided regularly and coordinated with the other programs of the Foundation, such as the school and the clinic, in order to create a chain of solidarity and support for the local populations.
Finally, through a volunteer program, we give French representatives the opportunity to accompany the children and the teaching staff by offering fun activities and even language courses for the more skilled.
Several volunteers have already been welcomed, with very positive results for both the children and the volunteers in question.
